One thing you can find everywhere in Japan are bakeries. They are everywhere, each with good fattening up food. One thing some bakeries have are Curry Donuts. This is not something I would normally buy, but the baker seemed to like me that day so he gave me a couple to try. It is bread with an interesting texture on the outside and it has curry in the middle. It was... interesting. Not gross, but put it this way, I haven't bought another since. I asked my students in a class if they liked it and about 75% said yes.
