Convenience + Food

"Conbini's" are all over in Japan. Here's a hint what a Conbini is. Conbinience Store. Their stores a similar to American convenience stores but they also have their differences. You can find a lot of prepared and "quick" food to buy. Here's an example of something I had for lunch.




First you have your plastic bowl with precooked, cold noodles. Inside it comes with a package of broth, green onions, tempura chips, and fish flakes. You dump everything into the magic little bowl, give it a stir, and you get what you see below.



Unfortunately, this little guy didn't taste nearly as good as it looked. Maybe next time...
